Recipe:Taco Ring

This recipe I am sharing is by far the best take on Taco's there is. We live on taco's here at my house. Taco Tuesday is a normal occurrence. My hubs wants this EVERY WEEK. I am always happy to oblige because it's that good. And it's that easy.

Here's what ya need:
1 pound ground beef
1 pkg taco seasoning mix
1 cup shredded taco blend cheese (or more if you are like me & love cheese)
2 tsp. water
2 pkgs refrigerated crescent rolls (make sure to get the same kind, not butter flake & original like I did. believe me, they don't turn out the same)
sour cream
taco sauce or salsa
lettuce
tomato, peppers, or onions

Fully cook your meat. Drain the grease.

Preheat your oven to 375*

In a large bowl, mix taco seasoning, water, cheese, & cooked meat. Stir until mixed well. The cheese should be somewhat melted once you are done mixing.

Separate the crescent rolls. Begin laying them on your baking stone. The points should face out and they should overlap some. When you are finished you should have a circle in the center.

Now scoop your meat mixture onto the crescent rolls. I use a cookie scooper to do this. Once you have put a scoop around the circle, go back and fill in where it might be bare. Don't worry about any that falls in the middle.

Once you have all the meat mixture on the crescent rolls, you will need to take the pointed end of the crescents and fold them over the mixture. Tuck the tips inside the circle. You really can't mess this up. This is also where you can sneak the extra that fell in the middle up into the crescent rolls.

Put it in the oven.

After 20-25 minutes, it should be golden brown. (notice how part is really loose? that's the butter flake crescent rolls, so don't buy that kind. the original works best)

Slice it up with a pizza cutter, slap a dollop of sour cream, sprinkle some cheese, lettuce, & peppers, then drizzle some taco sauce or salsa, & serve.

I didn't have peppers & I forgot to slice up some lettuce so pretend it's there.

You could use this as a finger food too. Just slice it in smaller pieces and place the condiments on the side for guests to use.

I promise this is a crowd pleaser. It's easy, quick, & oh so good.
