Keep Seeking

“Therefore if you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth.”
Colossians 3:1-2

Sometimes in this world, we get distracted. We start to worry. We start to complain. We start to doubt. We start to get consumed with things that are on earth.

God doesn’t want that.

When you choose to be washed new, you are a NEW BEING.

The worry, distractions, doubt…they don’t need to be part of your life anymore.
Of course, this is a fallen world & we have human nature, so there is undoubtedly going to be times of struggle. But the great thing about those times….
We can keep seeking the things above.

It’s a continuous action. Seeking the Lord.
We need to be moving forward, pursuing, pushing on, setting our mind on the things above NOT on the things of this earth.

Are you getting my drift?

“which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come.”
Ephesians 1:20-21

We aren’t alone in this. We aren’t the first ones to have these struggles. These battles.
He has gone before us. He cleared the path for us. He has set us free.

Won’t you let Him set you free?

remember this

This was much needed. Thanks, girl! I've been so distracted by my job lately (been working 80 hours a week!!) and since its "necessary" it has been my excuse for not turning to prayer or my bible.

As soon as the doubt hit, I had been so flimsy. :( Thanks for the reminder!! <3

That is an awesome quote. My pastor this week said "Jesus plus nothing is everything." I'll be saving that one for my future room, the colors match perfectly!
